Material Ecosystems
Material Ecosystems was a series of public workshops held throughout February 2022 by the Second year MArch students. We designed a series of interactive workshops to engage all users of different ages and abilities during this project. Working together to build a temporary pavilion demonstrated the power of collective energy and minds, a vital asset of the project that makes up the collaborative energy of any community dwelling in these future forests.
It was an immersive day of architectural pageantry, showcasing unfolding ideas which were brewing amongst the chaos, uncertainty and disruption of the pandemic. Collectively, we evaluated ways of making space fit for the future world that we want to see, expanding what architecture can be and who gets to make it.
